My name is John (JL) Lewis and I am an American free agent at 6'8" and 250 pounds, with a 7’1” wing span. I graduated from Louisiana Tech University which is a division 1 school. At Louisiana Tech my position ranged from small forward to center. There during my senior year we were in the top 25 division 1 schools in the country. We also were regular season conference champs and made it to the second round of the NIT. With a record of 27-7 and 14-0 at home not only was it one of the best in country but it shows we knew how to win games. I was the captain of the team my last two years so I know how to take control and lead a team. After college my first professional job was in Australia in the Big V league. There I played for the Shepparton Gators and averaged 17 points, 12 rebounds (1st in the league) and 1.5 blocks per game (led the league with 29 blocks in the season). Also I received MVP of the finals and helped to lead my team to its first league championship in 14 years. As a rookie not only did I win a championship but also received defensive player of the year as well as all star top 5 of the league. Now I am in the search again for another professional job at any level. I'm a very hard working guy on and off the court! I'm just looking for an opportunity to continue to grow as a player and to continue to add titles under my belt. I'm willing to do what ever I have to do to make that happen.
